Treasury Manager - Retail (MY)
ROLE OUTLINE:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Treasury, the Treasury Manager is responsible for managing the organization's treasury function.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to develop, execute and monitor periodical cash management plans to meet business objectives. Liquidity management (in partnership with other finance functions), daily cash positioning and cash flow forecasting.
- Responsible for financial risk management, liquidity management, and banking relationship management.
- Take ownership of managing, monitoring, reporting of liquidity position and ensuring relevant entities comply with relevant regulated payment license conditions issued by central banks.
- Develop, analyze, and implement currency exposure management practices and strategies to minimize the financial impacts of exchange rate fluctuations.
- Initiate and drive global integration of cash management best practices and treasury systems.
- Collaborate with finance and others to develop and implement finance-related initiatives that improve free cash flow and profitability.
- Develop, communicate, implement, and monitor relevant treasury policies, procedures, and controls.
- Provide work direction, prioritization, and training to the treasury team.
- Trade finance and managing critical banking relationships across the region, including managing internal and external debt facilities and inter-company arrangements
- System implementation and project management
- Maintaining close collaboration with colleagues and counterparts in other regions to standardize processes, implement best practices, and execute global treasury initiatives
- Establishing, maintaining and monitoring adherence with policies, procedures and controls, as well as regulatory requirements relevant to different jurisdictions under purview
- Leadership and management: Training and development, recruiting, staff retention, segregation of duties and staff performance appraisal
Pre-Requisites
- Degree qualified.
- 6 to 10 years of experience in treasury function gained from the corporate set-up.
- Strong ability to prioritize, maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
