About the role:
The role holder responsible for product registration and compliance with health authorities in the UAE for all in-house brands which includes dietary supplements, personal care, home healthcare etc.
ore Responsibilities:
- Product Compliance & Registration
- Responsible for Registration of all In-house brands under Nutrition Center belonging to Dietary Supplements, Sports Nutrition, Personal/ Skin Care, Home healthcare product with the respective Health Authorities in UAE – mainly Ministry of Health & Prevention (MOHAP) UAE, Dubai Municipality, ESMA, etc.
- Follow up with Brand Principals on a regular basis for document retrieval and to ensure that all supporting documents are in hand for submission to the authorities.
- Product Testing: Dealing with Dubai Central laboratory in testing of products with cosmetics section and food division towards fulfillment of requested requirements of product registration by Dubai Municipality.
- Creating applications, sample collection and submission and receiving reports to submit at authority for approvals.
- Product Renewals: Track and renew the existing Products/ Brands – item wise – on a regular basis and ensure the Products are registered at all time.
- Maintain copy and records of Product Registration Documents and Payments w.r.t MOH or Dubai Municipality
- Submitting Documents through Online Portal of Dubai Municipality for Clearance of Shipment.
- MOH Registrations:
- Dossier Preparation for Site Registration, Product Classification, QC testing, etc. for successful registration of Products with MOH
- Assisting the Brand QA/QC team through regular emails and Conference calls in preparing Dossiers, arranging test reagents/ assays methods for completion of registration in a timely manner.
- Follow Up with MOH personnel on a regular basis for successful completion of Products chosen for MOH Registration
- Assisting the Team in deducing DDC code for Insurance.
- Brand Communication
- Guiding and supporting principals on compilation of dossiers as per UAE regulations and to work as per feedback received from authorities to accomplish registration requirement
- To work on label artworks to ensure each product meets regulatory requirements as per directives
- Working on on-going renewal processes and efficiencies – submissions to authority and follow ups from brand principals.
- Local Health Authority Relationship
- Maintaining positive relationships with evaluators in three centers of Dubai Municipality – Al Twar, Al Manara and AL Kifaf and Ministry of health.
- Representing Nutrition Center/SC in seminars, conferences and customer forums at Dubai Municipality
- Advertisement approvals
- To obtain approvals from DM following the assessment of advertisement artwork applied for marketing and advertisement of products within a specific time frame across pharmacies and outdoors
- New Product Registration:
- Evaluation of Labels to screen ingredients and assessing the documents before submission to the concerned authorities.
- Follow up with Health authorities on various matters like Ingredient Testing / Test for Banned substance and to ensure that samples and other supporting elements are submitted on time for completion of registration.
- Document gathering, reviewing, providing feedback to principles, submissions and follow up – through the product cycle to accomplish registrations each valid for 5years.
Self-Management:
- Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensures that the goals are achieved during the course of the year
- Takes ownership of his/her own learning agenda by identifying development needs in consultation with the manager and agreeing on the individual development plan which goes beyond just training and development
- Keeps abreast of professional developments, new techniques and current issues through continued education and professional growth.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- English language skills (written and spoken), Arabic is preferred.
