About the role
Support in Buying & Merchandising functions for Sports division.
Core Responsibilities:
- Assist with product ordering, assortment and range planning in line with brand strategy, market trends and current/forecasted performance
- Identifying gaps in the product ranges and sourcing new brands and product categories to drive performance
- Developing excel reporting structure and process of updating to ensure efficient and timely execution for the team on weekly, monthly and yearly basis
- Budget, margin and sales planning and forecasting by brand, category and region
- Inventory management, forecasting stock position to ensure stock on bestsellers is maintained at an optimal level
- End of season sales and performance analysis to drive seasonal strategies
- Exit strategy planning, promotional and end of season markdown planning
- Manage data integrity for the site, ensuring it is accurate and in line with the system and website requirements alongside the online merchandiser
- Assist with regular competitor and market analysis. Reviewing online and in store competition in terms of brands, pricing, visual representation and product mix
- People management- managing one Merchandise analyst on below processes
- Liaising with suppliers on Order confirmations, and invoicing, ensuring these match with the original order placed and reporting any discrepancies to brand and/or superior
- Manage delivery of stock alongside supply chain within agreed timelines, ensuring that purchase orders and all system data is maintained accurately
- Maintain pricing in line with brand and business guidelines accurately for the region
- Maintain daily an accurate order table and delivery report in line with the confirmed supplier order for all brands
- Adhoc analysis as and when required
About the requirements:
- Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience
- Advanced Excel skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent
