Merchandising Manager
Job Summary:
The role holder is responsible for providing support to Merchandising and Planning teams in their daily business and takes part in projects to improve how the category works together.
Core Responsibilities:
- Report to GM and take full responsibility on Merchandising Department;
- Responsible for the planning, execution and communication of a development strategy that meets and exceeds financial goals.
- Communicate clearly on objectives and direction to the team; coach the team to maintain process efficiencies and meet business goals and requirement;
- Assist in setting up and drive merchandising and category strategy to maximizing Sales and Gross Margin, conversion of aged inventory and optimization of clearance;
- Sharing of best practices, communication with Principle on product feedback, merchandise issues, and setting up merchandise flow/operational procedure management;
- Manage key brands performance in terms of buy, sell thru, inventory and promotions;
- Accountable for product reviews, selection and recommendation, OTB planning, ordering, pricing and inventory control;
- Prepare reports on time to analyse the sales data and trends;
- Identify & communicate opportunities through excellent product sensibility and understanding of competitive retail landscape;
- Work closely with internal and group business partners to align with sales strategies and targets;
- Store visits is required to identify new selling opportunities and monitor stock level;
- Supervise a team of Merchandising Dept.
Job Requirements:
- Degree holder in Fashion Retailing, Business Administration, Logistic or related discipline
- At least 10 years’ relevant experience in which 3 years in managerial level
- Strong experience in buying and merchandising in sports industrial
- Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint
