Job Summary
He has to manage and lead a team of sales executives and merchandisers. His role includes setting sales goals and KPIs for his team and develop training programs and sales development plans. He manages the entire sales cycle from prospection through to successful closure and builds strong relationships with key customers.
Sales Manager plays an important role in the success and growth of an organization by increasing sales revenue and market share. He generally ensures the efficiency of the sales process to get the best result for the business.
Job Description
Design and implement a strategic sales plan that expands customer base and ensure a strong market presence, achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team.
Deploy resources with regard to market dynamics and selling strategies for each trade channel. Devise market segmentation and geographies and ensure JPs of sales team are planned accordingly.
Responsible of executing all promotional activities and trade marketing activations on time and as per the guidelines. Collaborate with trade marketing and category teams to tailor promotions and activation for each customer per channel.
Analyze market trends, identify new opportunities, and devise GTM plans to achieve revenue targets in collaboration with other departments like marketing and category teams.
Build primary and secondary visibility plans for all customers to increase the Share of Shelf and lead initiatives to increase market shares.
Produce monthly forecasting reports for the region to evaluate how well his team is doing in achieving targets and budgets based on the revenue streams month on month.
Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships for all customers by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
Manage A&P budget and track trade spend. Raise the claims on timely basis and keep record of customer documents and contracts.
Analyze ROI by customer / account and take corrective measures to secure profitable business and maintain budgeted margins.
Responsible of identifying and acquiring new customers, as well as up-selling to the existing customer base of the region.
Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular reports to senior management, highlighting key performance metrics and areas for improvement.
Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
Utilize data analytics to identify trends and opportunities for sales optimization. Use insights to adapt sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
