About the Role:
The incumbent in the MEP Technician role is responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems within GMG’s Foods processing facilities. This position is essential to ensure all MEP systems operate efficiently and meet the company’s safety and quality standards. The MEP Technician will conduct routine inspections, execute preventive maintenance, and promptly address any mechanical or electrical issues to minimize production interruptions and uphold facility standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical faults, perform necessary repairs, and replace faulty parts as required.
Execute preventive maintenance schedule to maximize system efficiency and longevity, in collaboration with the Maintenance Assistant Manager.
Monitor system performance, document maintenance activities, and manage repair parts and inventory.
Ensure all MEP systems comply with health and safety regulations and provide insights on potential upgrades or improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Required skills & Qualifications:
Minimum 3 - 4 years of experience in MEP systems maintenance.
High School Diploma or relevant technical qualification.
Strong hands-on experience in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems maintenance and repair.
Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.
Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices, safety standards, and MEP system operations.
Experience in documenting maintenance activities and maintaining service records.
Strong problem-solving skills and commitment to health, safety, and compliance standards.
Certification in Electrical Systems and/or Basic HVAC Maintenance is an advantage.
