Technical Lead - Fluent Commerce Order Management System

Role Summary:
The Technical Lead – Fluent Commerce OMS is responsible for end-to-end technical delivery, design, and support of Fluent Commerce Order Management System (OMS) implementations. This role leads the solution architecture, oversees integrations with internal and external systems, and ensures the implementation of scalable and high-performing OMS features such as Global Inventory, Home Delivery, and Click & Collect. The Technical Lead also plays a critical role in ensuring code quality, deployment automation, test frameworks, and release management across internal and partner development teams.
Responsibilities:
1.Lead solution architecture and technical design for Fluent Commerce OMS implementations.
2.Develop and document technical specifications, solution designs, and support documentation.
Review technical specifications, APIs, and integration designs provided by internal teams and external partners.
4.Manage and enhance integrations between Fluent Commerce, SAP, middleware, and external marketplace systems.
5.Develop and maintain scalable microservices-based applications using Java Spring Boot.
Design scalable solutions using Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and AWS-native services.
Build and maintain microservices leveraging Spring and event-driven architecture.
8.Ensure secure and compliant architecture while balancing cost, flexibility, scalability, and performance.
9.Develop and implement software code along with associated unit tests.
10.Develop build scripts and deployment pipelines to support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
11.Manage release activities for both internal and external development deliveries.
12.Support omnichannel order management and marketplace integrations through platforms such as Amazon Marketplace.
13.Implement Global Inventory, Home Delivery, and Click & Collect solutions, including workflow configuration and setup within Fluent Commerce OMS.
14.Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to system scalability, performance optimization, and reliability.
People Management:
The incumbent holds no direct supervisory responsibilities but is expected to engage effectively within their function and collaboratively across cross-functional teams. This role contributes meaningfully, whether through operational contributions and/or by offering specialized expertise, guidance, and support, to ensure alignment with either functional and/or strategic organizational goals and objectives.
Functional / Technical Competencies:
8+ years of experience with REST and GraphQL-based APIs.
Experience with Fluent Commerce OMS and integrations with SAP, EWM, Shopify and payments
Expertise in building and deploying microservices using Spring Boot and Spring WebFlux.
Strong hands-on experience across Java, Spring, Hibernate, AWS, MongoDB, Python and React.
Proficient in TypeScript, including frontend frameworks such as React.
Experience working with microservices-based architecture.
Good understanding of AWS services and cloud-native application deployment.
Knowledge of marketplace integrations and order orchestration.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices.
Strong troubleshooting and production support capabilities.
Strong knowledge of integration patterns and middleware architecture.
